PAST LIFE REGRESSION

HomeBody Health Mental Strength Past Life Regression About Me Books

Can past life regression (PLR) be helpful? Yes, there are people who have received help and healing from what is "remembering" some event from a past life. It would appear that most people who have experienced PLR have gone to a previous human life but this is not always so. I personally have been regressed a number of times and twice, quite spontaneously, found myself swimming with a pod of dolphins and that I was one of them. I had a feeling of great comfort and reassurance from this and it is known that people who have actually swum with dolphins have experienced some relief from symptoms such as depression and ME.

So one reason that people come for PLR is for healing and some therapists would say this is the real reason for doing it. Another reason is to experience whatever comes up and I mainly conduct PLR for the interest that people have in it. I have practiced internationally in America and Holland as well as in the UK and did PLR on a woman who travelled from France to me in Wales. I have also done a presentation on PLR in Montreal, Canada.

I have also presented my work and case studies at international conferences and was a guest lecturer on PLR at the XXVI International Conference of Psychology in Montreal. I have also had several articles published on my experiences of being regressed and of regressing my clients. There is research to show that PLR is a therapeutic experience. Many case studies could be given of where healing has taken place after PLR has been conducted. One thing is for sure that to have experienced PLR is to look at "living" in an entirely new way.

Some clients are impressed enough by their experience of PLR to repeat the experience and some have had up to 4 or even 5 or 6 sessions to explore different lives. Their motivation for doing this can be interest but also the healing aspect of going into a past life and resolving an issue or trauma which seems to have an impact on this life. To quote one client; “Yes, this is my main interest (the healing aspect of PLR) to identify primary traumas whose effects continue to have an influence on my present life. This client actually went to the region in Spain, where he had experienced a past life, for a ten day holiday after the sessions and said he had an experience there of deja vue. This gave more concreteness to his experience of the past life he had under hypnosis.

Another less usual use was one woman who wanted me to control her regressing into a past life because it was interfering in her present life. Her experience was that she was spontaneously regressing to a past life in the11th Century and found she could be spending the whole night there. When she woke up in the morning she would be exhausted because she had lived the life minute by minute! She gave me the example of a night where she and her husband had gone to bed and she turned towards him. He then vanished and she suddenly was in a different bed being looked over by a man in a hood who she felt wasn’t threatening. She later identified him as a Gnostic monk called Gilbert in Southern France and herself as a child in that century. Once she identified him by name she said he was the main link between that life and this one. She could communicate with him and he became like a guide to that Century. She could even communicate information about this life too.

A further interesting aspect of PLR is the possibility that someone in this life has been with you in a past life too. I had one client who explicitly stated this feeling about his partner. Other people have said the same thing and it is common in PLR to give the instruction to see if the person recognises anyone in the past life as someone that they know in this life too.

A session of past life regression (PLR) is an unusual idea for a birthday or Christmas present but a number of clients have given such presents. If you want to book a session for someone close to you then you can do so by emailing me on info@drjplowman.co.uk. Alternatively call me on 01633 211586 (Private Practice) or 01633 843333 (Newport or Cardiff Clinic). or my mobile 0789 6060286. If you would like to find out more, then please contact me.

I have written a number of articles on past life regression. The major one was just before I gave a presentation at the 26th International Congress of Psychology in Montreal.
