Three very important questions and you can answer at least two out of the three.
Assuming you can answer the first two questions the answer to the last one is that hypnosis is used because it is the most successful method as reported in New Scientist. Unfortunately it doesn't work for everyone, but it does increase the chance of success. People often cause themselves difficulty because they have a firm belief that it is hard to give up smoking. With hypnosis the suggestions are designed to make you into a non-smoker so that you don't have to "give-up", you just stop thinking like a smoker.
If possible think back to the time before you started smoking. Curiosity made you smoke that first cigarette but you had no physical or psychological need for it. Hypnosis aims to induce that feeling into you again. When this is 100% successful then no will power is required to become a non-smoker. Unfortunately 100% success is something that cannot be guaranteed, so more realistically you must expect to use some will power staying a non-smoker but definitely less that by using other methods.
The tape I supply can also give you further practice with
hypnosis so not everything depends on the session you have with me. It is a fact that
hypnosis becomes more effective and powerful for you as you practice. If there is any
powerful stress and/or anxiety in your life, it may be advisable to extra sessions to deal
with that. Normally though the treatment is one session of one and a half hours with a
free optional follow up session of half an hour. The extra thirty minute follow up session
is to determine what factors may be causing difficulty and how to overcome them especially
through self-hypnosis. Naturally learning self-hypnosis, although recommended, is
